Meet the Owner & designer

Hi, I’m Deborah Li, and I am a lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio. My baking career started in 2015 when I was hired as a cake baker at Belle’s Bread, and then transitioned to director of wedding cake design and recipe development and the assistant manager of the cake department. I graduated from the French Pastry School of Chicago in November 2019, and started my independent cake studio soon after in January 2020.

In February 2020, I had the amazing opportunity to compete in an episode of Sugar Rush on Netflix. My partner and I pushed through three grueling timed rounds of baking to eventually win the episode and take home the grand prize of $10,000. Needless to say, I was shocked. Since then, my business has been steadily growing, and I’m excited to continue learning and honing my craft.

my philosophy

I highlight seasonal and often underappreciated ingredients to bring exciting new flavors to my cakes. Everything is made from scratch, which ensures you will get a fresh, delicious, and perfectly balanced slice of cake every time you order. As with my flavors, I also love exploring different edible materials and textures in my cake designs. No two cakes are ever the same, and I will use my artistic perspective to create a custom cake that is completely unique.
